Don't wash your jeans??

I am a country girl, as you can tell by my about page.  It's something I'm proud of, I ride horses, play in the mud, hike, and usually end up dirty, so when I saw on the news how you're not to wash your jeans for 12 months, or try to very rarely, my mind went straight to the barn and how bad of an idea that would be for me.  Unless I know I'm going to get just as dirty the next day (and my pants aren't covered in mud) I could reuse the same jeans maybe twice.

I can't speak for all country people, cowgirls, cowboys, and rednecks, but I'm sure this is how their jeans look after a day of fun too.

The Morning After

This was taken the morning after the first wedding I ever photographed.  One of my best friends asked me to be her wedding photographer and we spent a long time talking about everything she wanted and setting up and planning her perfect day.  When the big day arrived it had rained all week and everything was mud...not ideal for a wedding or photographer but it turned out to fit the bride and groom very well as they had a redneck wedding!  Everyone left the wedding with mud on their shoes and a few were even covered in the brown mush.  When I arrived the next morning to help clean up the mess this is what I found.  I think it tells the story of their wedding day.

Even the flower girl basket was left the next morning abandoned in the mud.

This was one wedding that was memorable for everyone.  It was a fun wedding to have as my first to photograph.  Thank you for taking the chance with me and letting me capture your special day.

Best wishes to the Bride and Groom for many happy years together <3
